Growing Altitude: 1510 – 2120 meters above sea level Arabica Variety: Wild Ethiopian Varieties Harvest Period: October through February Milling Process: Natural, Sun-dried Aroma: Berry, Earthy, Chocolate Flavor: Typical moka flavor, marked blueberry and blackberry Body: Heavy body Limu coffee is grown at elevations ranging from 3,600 to 6,200 feet in southwest/south-central Ethiopia producing medium-sized coffee beans with a distinctive roundish shape and green color. Limu is a market name. Many specialty roasters consider washed Limu coffee from Ethiopia to be a premium gourmet coffee. Also see Ethiopian Coffee. Limu is high-quality wet-processed (washed) Ethiopian coffees that show signs of a relatively low acidity yet are somewhat sharp. Imperial Trading is illustrious by its well-balanced body and perceptible winey and spicy flavors, often fruit-toned, pleasantly sweet and vibrant with floral overtones.
